Chongqing University Medical-Industrial Integration Innovation Conference Held
On April 3rd, a grand event aimed at breaking down the interdisciplinary barriers between medicine and engineering—the Chongqing University Medical-Engineering Integration Innovation Conference—was held at Chongqing Medical University. More than 200 experts, scholars and educators from local institutions of higher education, medical and health institutions, and high-tech enterprises gathered to explore innovative paths for medical-engineering integration. The conference focused on cutting-edge fields such as intelligent medical equipment, AI empowerment, and brain-computer interfaces. Through thematic seminars, project matchmaking and signed cooperation agreements, it aimed to build a new integrated paradigm of medical-engineering integration featuring "organized scientific research and organized talent cultivation". The conference was hosted under the leadership of the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. Liu Yanbing, Secretary of the Education Work Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Municipal Education Commission, Zhang Zemin, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and President of Chongqing Medical University, attended the meeting.

The initiative clarified key research directions and coordinated development paths for the future, aiming to break down inter-university and university-enterprise barriers, build a new development pattern of resource sharing and collaborative research, and promote the in-depth development of medical-engineering integration.
Implementation and Growth: Multi-Party Signing to Build a New Ecosystem for Medical-Engineering Integration
The collision of ideas has forged consensus, and cooperation has yielded tangible results. A university-enterprise cooperation signing ceremony was held at the conference. Mr. Ren Jianbing, founder of Chongqing Liweikang Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., attended the event and formally signed a cooperation agreement with Chongqing College of Traditional Chinese Medicine on the research and development project of intelligent equipment for solid preparations. This cooperation marks that the in-depth integration of industry, university and research between universities and enterprises has entered a substantive stage, and the development of medical-engineering integration in Chongqing has officially shifted from conceptual discussion to practical in-depth advancement.
